Ex-Juventus GM Moggi: All those who criticise Allegri now praise him

Former Juventus GM Luciano Moggi says management should keep backing their young players.

Moggi insists they do not need to buy senior players in January given the way the team is performing.

He told Radio Bianconera: "I believe that Juventus should remain like this, because they have interesting young players that they can use. Now, with the advent of Yildiz, who has also shown that he can replace Chiesa well, I think Juventus is fine.

"Juve must do what they have done up to this moment. They must think match by match. At this moment, Juventus have only lost one match ever and must continue like this. Despite the criticism he has suffered, Allegri has overcome the period of the impasse very brilliantly and now all those who criticized him praise him.

"If, however, he doesn't win the championship, they will continue to criticize him, without taking into account that Juve is inferior to Inter overall and can aspire to win the championship only if you consider that the Nerazzurri have to play two matches a week, moving forward in European competitions, unlike the Bianconeri who only have to play one.

"If Juventus were to finish second, they will have done something truly remarkable. If we were to finish first, we would have done something exceptional."
