Former Everton boss David Moyes has questioned claims around Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool this season.

Many ex-Reds say the current team is the best Liverpool have seen since the 1990 title winners.

But Moyes, speaking on Sky Sports, argued: "I think they've got a really good team but I look back at the Liverpool teams I've played against over the years and they had great teams.

"When it was Alonso and Mascherano and Gerrard with Torres up front, just the boys they had - Liverpool had great teams.

"This is a good Liverpool team as well but I don't know if it is quite as good as that team at that time but I think they are playing with a good style - they've got forward players who are exceptional and that makes them a real threat."
