Former Espanyol goalkeeper Biel Ribas is walking out of Segunda Division Fuenlabrada.
Efe says players are already starting to terminate their contracts that end on June 30, as Fuenlabrada have announced that they and goalkeeper Biel Ribas have reached an agreement to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
Ribas rejected the Spanish second division club's offer to play until the end of season on full pay, even if it finishes after June 30.
That proposal guaranteed that the players would earn their wages in full until their contract ended, which was agreed to by all but two of the squad.
Yet Ribas, who contract was due to end on June 30 of this year, has decided that he won't play on into the summer and is already leaving the club.
