Former Brighton midfielder Davy Propper has suffered a serious injury just weeks into his comeback with Vitesse.

Propper's season is over after suffering an ACL injury at FC Emmen on Saturday.

At the start of 2022, he canceled his contract with PSV Eindhoven on the grounds that he no longer felt comfortable in the world of football.

However, the Dutchman managed to rediscover his love for the game, which was cemented with a contract at Vitesse at the end of the winter transfer window last month.

The contract between Vitesse and Pröpper runs until the summer of 2024.
