Schweinsteiger ended his frustrating stay at United recently by making a move to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire on a free transfer and the former German international was welcomed by fans upon his arrival at O'Hare Internatinoal Airport.
Schweinsteiger has signed a lucrative one-year deal with Fire which is believed to be worth £3.5million-per-year but his current wages is a significant reduction to his £130,000-per-week contract at United.
Prior to the flight, the Bayern Munich and Germany legend posted a picture on Twitter of he and wife Ana Ivanovic getting ready to make the lunge across the Atlantic.
