Former Barcelona coach Quique Setien is in talks with Villarreal.

Villarreal have made a move for Setien after Unai Emery's departure for Aston Villa was settled yesterday.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports Villarreal and Setién are already negotiating an agreement.

Setién has not had a coaching position since the summer of 2020, when he quit at Barcelona.

He also has coaching experience with Real Betis and Las Palmas.
