Former Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has been approached by the Polish Federation.
After exiting the World Cup in Qatar at the last-16 stage with a 3-1 loss against France, Poland decided not to renew the contract of Czeslaw Michniewicz.
Gerrard has been without a job since being relieved of his duties at Aston Villa in October following a poor start to the Premier League which saw fans turn against him at Villa Park.
Meczyki reports the Poland Football Federation contacted Liverpool legend Gerrard several days ago about taking over as their new manager. The 42-year-old is said to be currently considering the offer.
Poland are said to be considering a number of familiar names for the role. Former Everton boss Roberto Martinez was one of those linked to the job before he was confirmed as the new Portugal boss this week.
Other names to have been touted are Saudi Arabia manager Herve Renard, Vladimir Petković, Paulo Bento and Nenad Bjelica.
