Everton and Tottenham are set to battle for Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The defensive midfielder is wanted by Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, while Carlo Ancelotti is also interested, perSky Sports.

Kondogbia is someone Spurs want in place for next season, as they have struggled in central midfield this term.

The club have failed to replace Moussa Sissoko, who left before Mourinho was appointed.

Kondogbia is 27 and has managed 89 appearances for Valencia since signing in 2018.

He has played 24 games this term, including five Champions League clashes.
