Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes his side are still capable of finishing in the top four this season.
The Toffees lost 1-0 at Chelsea on Saturday to fall 11 points behind fourth-placed Liverpool but Martinez is maintaining belief that his team can bridge the gap come season's end.
Everton have 12 matches remaining this season, with one game in hand on the Reds, and Martinez is retaining confidence of fighting for a potential top-four finish in order to compete in the Champions League next term.
"Obviously when you don't win games it's going to affect your points tally. But we are keeping the same focus," said Martinez.
"We have had a game postponed, against Crystal Palace at home, and that game could be a big one at the end of the season.
"Twelve games is a lot of points to fight for and if we fight in the manner that we did against Chelsea we've got a great opportunity to get a big amount."
The Toffees have lost three of their past four league fixtures as they get set to host the in-form West Ham United, fresh off four straight victories, next weekend.
