Jonny Evans is hoping that he will be able to kickstart his Leicester City career in the Carabao Cup.
Evans is in line to make a start for Leicester against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old signed for Leicester in the summer, but injuries have disrupted his rhythm so far this season.
"I am hoping to play if the manager picks me," he said to Leicestershire Live.
"Wes has to come back and we've got the new lad but I'll be ready for it.
"I want the games to come thick and fast so I can get as many minutes as I can.
"I needed that [against Huddersfield], another game. I had the two international games when I was away and I feel I am still getting up to speed.
"Hopefully I can play in the League Cup in the week and get more rhythm, more minutes under my belt, and push on."
