Jonny Evans could play his way to a new contract at Manchester United.
The veteran defender has signed to the end of August with United after being released by Leicester City.
Evans is doing his preseason with United and it was agreed to hand him a short-term deal so he would join their overseas tour.
ESPN says such has been the 35 year-old's impact that manager Erik ten Hag is open to extending the deal to the end of the season.
The centre-back previously made 198 appearances for United. He has also played for West Bromwich, Sunderland and Royal Antwerp.
