Espanyol are scrubbing all references of Raul de Tomas from the club.

De Tomas was sold to Rayo Vallecano this week marking a bitter end to his time with the Catalans.

Marca says Espanyol has committed to withdrawing the name of Raúl de Tomás free of charge from the shirts of fans bought this 2022/23 season.

Supporters can go to any of the club's stores to have the name erased, and not only that, they will be given a new shirt free of charge - and free of serigraphs.

De Tomas was so desperate to leave Espanyol that he gave up a place in Spain's World Cup squad, as he cannot play for Rayo until January 1.
