Manchester United veteran Christian Eriksen believes they are almost ready for the new season.

The Danish international will be hoping to continue playing an important role in Erik ten Hag's side.

Eriksen was first choice in midfield alongside Casemiro last term, but will have Mason Mount for competition this time around.

Eriksen told United's official website: “Now we are back as a full squad, everyone together.

“There's no different groups and everyone is together, which is also a good feeling.

“But no, it is. It's getting closer and all the things, all the meetings about the games coming up and the season.

“So yeah, you get the feeling that we're almost there."
