Emre Can is facing six weeks on the sidelines at Liverpool.
The Daily Express says Can limped away from Melwood on crutches yesterday.
Can had a protective boot on his right foot after suffering an injury on international duty. He is believed to have rolled his ankle during Germany Under-21s 8-0 win over Romania.
The 20-year-old is set to be out for up six weeks, giving Brendan Rodgers another selection headache.
