Empoli sports chief Pietro Accardi admits coach Paolo Zanetti is under discussion.

Zanetti's job is in doubt after Empoli's 7-0 thrashing by AS Roma on Sunday.

Accardi said at fulltime: "I believe it is necessary, after a performance like that, to show our face. That's why I'm here, to take on our responsibilities.

"Sorry for our fans, they came here to support us and they did so until the end, my first thought goes to them."

Empoli so far has zero points and zero goals scored, with Accardi admitting: "I believe that at this moment the responsibility is not only the coach's: it is everyone's, including me.

"Having said that, it is clear that we will take some time to reflect: there is something that is not going right."
