Egyptian FA upset with Liverpool attitude over Salah fitness

The Egyptian FA are unhappy with Liverpool's behaviour over the availability of Mohamed Salah.

The Daily Mail says sources in Cairo suggest Egypt national team staff are being blocked from contacting Salah by Liverpool. He has been named in the Pharoahs' latest squad.

Egypt want Salah to join the squad this month for a training camp and a friendly against New Zealand. However, Liverpool are reluctant to release him due to injury concerns.

Egypt have wanted doctor Mohamed Abu El-Ela to check on Salah before making any decision on his involvement for the camp. But now say they will 'adhere to his inclusion' if he plays any minutes for Liverpool before then.

And a member of the Egyptian FA board has stated officials have been unable to communicate with Salah.
