Earnshaw: White-Gibbs capable of much more for Forest

Former Wales striker Robert Earnshaw has called on Morgan Gibbs-White to hit the goals trail with Nottingham Forest.

Earnshaw insists the attacker is capable of more this season.

“Coming into January, everybody wants a striker. Everybody wants to bring in a striker who scores goals. It is difficult," he said on NottinghamshireLive's Garibaldi Red podcast.

“Can you find them? Yes. You look at clubs like Brighton. Brighton are brilliant because they analyse what players and what qualities they are going to bring in based on what's there and what the idea of the manager is going to be, how they are going to get the best out of them.

You can bring in the right player at the right price, and they will score goals.

“We've got players like (Callum) Hudson-Odoi, (Anthony) Elanga and Wood. Awoniyi is out for a bit but will be back at some point. I actually think where we are lacking or where we could do better is with getting more goals from midfield, although I do like our midfield players.

“Gibbs-White can contribute more. He is a talented player and has impressed me since he's been at Forest, but he can add goals. I see him as someone who can potentially get 12 to 15 goals, because he gets chances. He is creative, but the next level for him is the challenge of getting 12 to 15 goals."
