Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler wants to join Arsenal today.
Last night, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, despite the willingness of the board, put the brakes on negotiations over Schalke's £37 million asking price.
The Daily Mail says club doctor Gary O'Driscoll is on stand-by to fly to Germany to complete Draxler's medical ahead of Friday's deadline.
The young German is ready to pack his bags and seal his move to Arsenal before tonight's deadline.
