Sassuolo striker Kevin-Prince Boateng has left on-loan for Barcelona.

The 31-year-old will put pen to paper with the Blaugrana on Tuesday morning, before being unveiled in the afternoon.

Sassuolo wrote in their statement: “[The deal] continues the fruitful relationship between FC Barcelona and US Sassuolo Calcio, established last summer through the transfer/signing of Marlon: the Catalan club thank the Italian club for their willingness shown in conducting negotiations.

“The Italian club, for their part, are proud to be able to continue their relationship with one of the most important and prestigious clubs in the world.

“FC Barcelona and US Sassuolo Calcio respectively welcome and say goodbye with a big thank-you to Kevin-Prince Boateng for the professionalism he showed during negotiations and in the last few months."
