AS Roma have completed the signing of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku passed his medical ahead of signing his season-long loan deal today.

The former Inter Milan striker returns to Serie A in a straight loan, worth €5m. A different deal from what Chelsea had set up with both Inter and Juventus, also the result of the need to close the issue before the transfer market deadline.

The Giallorossi also finalised the details of a deal that will see Romelu accept a "discount", lowering his salary to around €7.5m net from €12m. Less than what he earned at Inter last season.
