Peterborough United have secured a loan signing that will help them in the League One promotion race.

Darren Ferguson's team are very much in the thick of the action, as they sit in third place in the table.

Now they have given their squad a much needed boost, having signed Brentford winger Michael Olakigbe.

"I am delighted and lucky to get him," manager Darren Ferguson told the Peterborough website of the 19-year-old winger.

"He is a very talented boy, he can play off the right, off the left, he is quick, direct and exactly how we want our wide players to be.

"He knows four or five of our players, he has been in an England squad with Ronnie (Edwards) and played with Jadel (Katongo) too. He will be an exciting signing for us."
