Southern League Premier Central side Hitchin Town have secured two Premier League players on loan.

Luton Town are sending two members of their development squad to the lower league side.

Defender Jack Bateson is set to be joined by team-mate Oli Lynch at Hitchin for the rest of the season.

Both players are 19 and are from the Luton area, having been with the club since youth level.

Announcing their arrivals, the Hitchin Town X page stated: “We are pleased the first of two loan signings from @LutonTown starting with @OliLynch9. The 19 year old forward joins until the end of the season to further strengthen our attacking options. Welcome Oli.

"In further news we have also secured the loan until the end of season of another player from @LutonTown with @jackbateson_ joining Mark Burke's squad. Jack is a 19 year old defender who has been with the Hatters since the age of 8. Welcome Jack."
