Ghana youth international Fatawu Abdul Issahaku is being linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Mirror says Liverpool have completed the signing of Ghana youth international Issahaku on a five-year contract, according to widespread reports.
Issahaku, 17, is considered one of the brightest prospects in African football after a stunning breakthrough with second-tier side Steadfast FC in his native country.
The teenage attacking midfielder - who has suitors across Europe - was on the verge of joining Bayer Leverkusen last week and travelled to Germany to seal the move to the Bundesliga club.
But Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund submitted last-ditch offers for Issahaku, with the Reds prevailing in the transfer battle after Anfield chiefs successfully negotiated a fee in the region of £1.5million.
Issahaku will almost certainly be sent out on loan at first due to the difficulties of securing him a work permit to play in England.
Liverpool had a similar situation with forgotten striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who joined the Reds in 2015 and is yet to make his debut for the club.
