DONE DEAL: Liverpool academy talent Max Woltman joins Oxford

Liverpool academy talent Max Woltman has joined Oxford United permanently.

The 19-year-old has left the Anfield club, despite having been there since the age of seven.

He will now be playing for the League One club as their season begins, with his deal finalized on Thursday.

Woltman, who was born in Wirral, played two senior games for Liverpool in his career.

He came on as a substitute against AC Milan in a Champions League tie in 2021, while he also played in an FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town a month later.

He will now be hoping to resurrect his career after a tough couple of years of being unable to make the next step to a first team footballer.
