Las Palmas have announced the signing of Barcelona fullback Julian Araujo.

The Mexico international joins Las Palmas on a season-long loan.

Las Palmas have announced: "Julián Araujo (13/08/2001, Lompoc, California) strengthens our right lane and arrives on loan from Barcelona until June 30, 2024.

"Trained at the 'Barça Academy' in Arizona, he played for Los Angeles Galaxy and in January this year he signed for Barcelona. His Blaugrana debut came on 6 June, in the friendly that Barcelona played against Vissel Kobe in Japan.

"Julián Araujo is a Mexico international, a team with which he played 10 games. The player, who passed his medical today, will be presented tomorrow, after the training session, around 1pm, in the Ciudad Deportiva press room."
