Empoli defender Vincent Laurini has signed for Fiorentina.

Laurini joins the Viola on-loan for the season.

The deal was confirmed in a statement on Fiorentina's official website, despite Sampdoria reportedly being closest to the right-back.

Laurini, 28, has spent his entire professional career in Italy, joining Carpi in 2010 and then Empoli two years later.
