Chelsea goalkeeper Jamie Cumming has joined Oxford United on-loan to the end of the season.

The 24-year-old replaces keeper James Beadle, who was recalled from his loan by Brighton.

Oxford manager Des Buckingham told the club's website: "Jamie is a really good keeper.

"Lewis Price, our goalkeeping coach, worked with him at MK Dons and rates him very highly.

"We knew James Beadle might be recalled by Brighton so had been talking to Chelsea for a while. It's great that we've got this signed and completed ahead of the weekend."
