DONE DEAL: Bayer Leverkusen sign Arsenal midfielder Xhaka

Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of Granit Xhaka from Arsenal.

Xhaka moves to Bayer for €25m, signing a five-year contract with the Bundesliga giants.

The 30 year-old leaves Arsenal after seven years, having joined in 2016 from Borussia Monchengladbach.

He scored 23 goals in 297 appearances for the Gunners, helping them win the FA Cup twice and finish runners-up in the Premier League last season.

Xhaka made his last appearance against Wolves in the season finale, scoring twice in the 5-0 win.
