Barcelona are wrapping up a deal for Palmeiras defender Vitao.

Marca reports both the player and his representatives are currently in Barcelona to finalise a deal to bring the 19-year-old to the club.

He has been signed with an eye to the future, given his tender age.

Vitao, who stands at 1.86 centimetres tall, will sign for Barcelona with the intention of either joining up immediately with the B team or being loaned out to gain valuable first team experience.

For the time being, he will not feature for the first team, given that boss Ernesto Valverde is already well stocked in that department.
