Derby County are moving for Charlton Athletic winger Jerome Thomas with a £3 million bid.
Rams boss Billy Davies has targeted Thomas, 24, after being frustrated in his attempts to land Matthew Etherington.
Davies has been tracking West Ham's Etherington all summer but is struggling to complete a £2m deal.
