Departing Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made contact with Barcelona.

The German has been linked with Barca as he leaves Liverpool this summer and Xavi exits the Catalans at the same time.

But Radio Cataluyna says Barca have received the message from the German's camp: Klopp is not interested in taking on any new assignment for next season.

The 56-year-old will under no circumstances change his mind. Klopp is said to feel he really needs to rest after his long stay at Liverpool.

Hansi Flick, Thiago Motta (Bologna) and Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton) are other managers linked with Barcelona.
