Sevilla midfielder Thomas Delaney says Denmark teammate Christian Eriksen is a better player than he was at last year's Euros.

Eriksen has recovered from the cardiac arrest he suffered 18 months ago to now be running the midfield at Manchester United.

And Delaney says: "It's fantastic to have Christian back. It is impressive that he has come back. I would go so far as to say that Christian is better than before. He is our best player and among the best in the world.

"I am impressed with him after what has happened.

"I don't know, but he came back to the national team and scored two goals in the first games, where he completely dominated. Whether it is only Christian who has moved, or whether we have moved as a national team, may also have something to say.

"He is decisive, and we as a national team need that. We must try to make Christian good, then we have come a long way."
