Del Bosque draws "positives" from Spain defeat to Holland

Holland struck twice in victory over Spain last night.

Holland scored two goals in four first-half minutes as they recorded a 2-0 friendly victory over Spain at the Amsterdam ArenA on Tuesday night.

The last time the two countries met, at last year's World Cup finals in Brazil, the hosts claimed a comfortable 5-1 victory over the European champions and Spain came here looking for revenge.

But goals from Stefan de Vrij and Davy Klaassen - his first for his country - saw the Oranje dominate the first half.

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque said: "There were positive things [to take from the game] and that's what we have to take. There'll be something we did wrong in the opening minutes. We were lacking in terms of finishing. In normal circumstances we wouldn't have missed the chances.

"I prefer the positive habit of winning. I think we're got good players who can do that. We'll never get used to losing. Nobody likes to lose."
