Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today announced that Hesterine de Reus has left the position of Head Coach of the Westfield Matildas.
"After a review by FFA it was determined that a change in coaches was in best interests of the Matildas program," said FFA CEO David Gallop.
Gallop has thanked Hesterine for her efforts over the past 15 months and wished her all the best for the next stage of her coaching career.
Sydney FC Westfield W-League Head Coach Alen Stajcic has been appointed as interim Head Coach of the Westfield Matildas for the AFC Women's Asian Cup in Vietnam next month.
A comprehensive review of the Matildas program, including the Head Coach position, will be conducted after the tournament.
