Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea is said to be on the verge of signing a new contract.
The 32-year-old is out of contract this summer, with the club not taking up the option to extend his £375,000-a-week deal.
However, The Mail states that De Gea has agreed terms on an extension that includes a salary reduction.
United have also informed the Spaniard that he may not be first choice at the club next term.
The source does add that De Gea is close to signing on the dotted line to remain at the Old Trafford team.
The Spaniard has been at United for more than a decade, but his form has come into question in recent seasons.
