DC United striker Wayne Rooney is delighted to be back with England.

He will be in the squad to face the USA in a friendly on Thursday in a farewell appearance for England's record goal scorer.

He was put through his paces at St George's Park and was all smiles as he joined up with his international teammates.

Earlier on Monday, Rooney posted on Twitter ahead of his return to the international fold.

He wrote: "Looking forward to meeting up with the @England squad later today, always a huge honour. An exciting week for @FoundationWR!"
