Dutch legend Danny Blind insists his son Daley can be better than him.

Daley Blind left Ajax for Manchester United in the summer.

Danny is currently Holland assistant coach and said: "He is ahead of schedule when you compare us.

"But I still have a few more prizes. However, I hope he can win the same."

"If you look at this in a sober way, you should conclude that Daley can be better than I was," analysed the 53-year-old coach. "He's better on the ball, but I could read the contest, judge it, directing; that was my quality.

"When he learns that, he will be a better and more complete footballer than I ever was."
