Inter Milan hero Ivan Cordoba feels former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is the right appointment.
Inzaghi will replace Antonio Conte at the Serie A champions.
“Inzaghi has done great things recently at Lazio, which is an important team," Cordoba told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I think he's aware he's coming into a completely different environment.
“I'll be honest, much like Marco Materazzi it was what happened in 2002 that first came to mind, but these things happen just like they did with Conte.
“The important thing is to understand where you've arrived and respect the history and the colours you're fighting for.
“I hope this is transferred, Inzaghi already has an important base of a team.
“Let's hope Inter don't dismantle the squad because otherwise it's difficult to achieve something important."
