FC Copenhagen coach Jacob Neestrup has defended the club over their sale of Rasmus Hojlund.
The striker, now of Manchester United, left FCK for Sturm Graz after failing to get a regular game.
Neestrup said: "He played too little, and it was a professional decision that the coaching team made at the time. Including myself.
"It was good that there were some adults present who said that the player should not waste his talent that spring in FC Copenhagen.
"It is a big day for Rasmus and his family. I just think it's crazy nice of him.
"I'm happy that Rasmus Højlund got the better of us all, went to Austria and smashed that league, went to Atalanta, where he was good and now goes to Manchester United. It is proof that we must never, ever write off talent."
Højlund's former teammate in FC Copenhagen Nicolai Boilesen also thinks that it is an incredibly wild, but beautiful story.
"It just proves that if you have the right people around you in football, who trust you and give you confidence, then many can go further.
"In this case it is a sunshine story from being found too easy here to play for Manchester United. It's great for everyone. Not only those who like Rasmus, but also just like football in general."
