Racing Santander president Francisco Pernia is adamant 17 year-old Argentine Brian Sarmiento is their player.

Racing are in dispute with Argentina's Estudiantes over who holds Sarmiento's registration, though Pernia said: "They have no rights over the player and just want money.

"Brian is a Racing player, he is paid by Racing and trains with Racing. I believe he could even make his senior debut with us this season, but if not, then definitely in 2008/09."
