Kim has signed for Albion initially on a six-month loan from 2006 South Korean champions Seongnam Ilhwa.
"Now I am here I am attracted by this team and I want to stay here for as long as possible," said Kim. "I want to help this team get into the Premier League.
"That is the first thing I want to do and then to stay here for the long term."
