Burke determined to win back Rangers place

"We have a lot of games coming up at the end of December and in January. I am sure we will need to use our full squad to get the points we need.

"There have been a few injuries and that happens in football, so I hope there's an opening for me."

Despite signing a two year extension to his contract in January, Burke has seen his appearances restricted this season by the signings of Steven Whittaker, Lee McCulloch and DaMarcus Beasley.

The right winger made his first SPL appearance of the season as a substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win over Hearts and hopes this will provide the catalyst for further involvement with the first team.

"I have come back at a busy time and hopefully that works in my favour."
