Despite signing a two year extension to his contract in January, Burke has seen his appearances restricted this season by the signings of Steven Whittaker, Lee McCulloch and DaMarcus Beasley.
The right winger made his first SPL appearance of the season as a substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win over Hearts and hopes this will provide the catalyst for further involvement with the first team.
