Birmingham No2 Black still has management ambition

Birmingham City assistant manager Eric Black admits he has ambitions of returning to being No1.

"I wouldn't dismiss managing again. I enjoyed my time as manager and I enjoyed the responsibility of being a manager," he told the Sunday Mercury.

"But at the moment I'm really happy working here and I think we've got something we can achieve here. There's a good group of players and I really enjoy working with the manager.

"My eyes are only here and that is all that I am thinking about.

"I don't think you can pick and choose what you are going to do. I'm working at a very good club, I'm working with extremely good people and I'm not looking anywhere else.

"I'm here and I want to try and fulfil the job here."
