Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has chosen to further delay the signing of West Ham midfielder Nigel Quashie.

McLeish told BBC WM: "Nigel's had a difficult couple of weeks.

"We want to wait until we can see him in a much sharper vein over the next couple of weeks. We'll make decisions later on, maybe not right now."
