Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits his team needs to find more consistency if they are to truly challenge for this seasons title.
The Gunners came from behind to defeat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday but Wenger knows, despite the fact their main rivals both dropped points on the weekend, that they have to perform consistently if they are to stay in touch with the leading few teams and kick clear of those others who are mounting a serious threat.
"It is more than a three horse race, there is Aston Villa, Manchester City and Spurs. There is a long way to go," Wenger said.
"Chelsea will drop points, they have done so already and they will do so again.
"Everyone will do that. There are so many good teams, like Liverpool. They have Torres and Gerrard back, Aquilani will get fitter and many teams will drop points at Anfield.
"They played in the first half with an impressive level of performance. We now have to show consistency and character to continue in this vein."
