Colwill: I only ever wanted Chelsea stay

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill is delighted to finally get his chance to show his worth at the club.

The young center half spent the past season on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.

While Colwill was sad to end his association with Brighton, he signed a new deal with Chelsea this summer.

"I always wanted to be at Chelsea, be a Chelsea player and hopefully be a Chelsea legend one day," he stated, per The Mail.

“If we can win everything that gets put out in front of us hopefully one day I become a legend. But not just once, keep doing it in multiple seasons."

“When you play, that's the most you can improve," Colwill added.

“You're learning things from different players all the time, just little tricks. Even if it's them beating you the whole game you pick up things so easily. That's the best way to improve, especially as a young player.

“If I learn this now, in ten years I will really know what's going on and hopefully can become a world-class player because of all these little things I am learning.

“If it's a good game you still learn from that, and if it's a bad game you are learning more so playing as much as you can will make you improve quicker."
