Club Brugge striker Ferran Jutgla: I could've been helpful to Barcelona

Club Brugge striker Ferran Jutgla admits some regret leaving Barcelona.

Jutgla felt he could've had a role for Barca this season.

He told Radio Cataluyna: "Of course I think I could have been a good replacement for Lewandowski, but when I left I knew there were a lot of people and I wanted to play. I had to make a decision and that's what I did.

"Of course you miss things when you are away. Whenever I have a few days off I always go back to my village to be with my family and friends. You always have this nostalgia to go back home."

Jutglà also said, "When I signed for Barça I wasn't even thinking about the first team. My objective was to have a showcase to get me into professional football. I chose Barça because it was a showcase, but when you're inside and you see a hole to get there, if you're ready, you're lucky and all these things come together, you try to take advantage of it and that's what I did. It was my chance."

He added: "Sometimes life is wonderful and has things in store that you can't imagine. Adapting to Belgium has been easy. The first few months, with a lot of games, it went by very quickly and I only thought about football, I didn't have time to think that I was alone.

"The adaptation was quick and everything went smoothly. I came alone but then my partner came and we are still here together: we are very well, we both have our jobs".
