Chievo Verona aren't giving up on defender Francesco Acerbi.

Acerbi is in co-ownership with Genoa and wanted by AC Milan.

"Milan's interest in him is real, but patience is needed," Chievo sporting director Giovanni Sartori told L'Arena. "Nothing has been done yet.

"I think that the outburst of Genoa President Enrico Preziosi - who stated that Acerbi would only see San Siro on a postcard - was an answer to those who think a deal has been completed.

"The reality is that there is still some talking to do."
