Chelsea are preparing to offer goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois an improved contract in order to stave off interest from Real Madrid, as reported by The Telegraph.
Real Madrid are expected to be in the market to sign a new goalkeeper this summer and Manchester United star David De Gea has widely been mentioned as the main target for the Spanish giants.
Madrid are also believed to have shortlisted Thibaut Courtois as an alternative to De Gea but Chelsea are not willing to entertain offers for their star keeper and are said to be preparing to offer the Belgian international a £150,000-a-week deal in order to assure his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
