Chelsea are being linked with Lille defender Gabriel.

The Brazilian is expected to leave Lille this summer amid claims of passing a recent medical with Everton.

Indeed, it's been reported negotiations are so advanced that only signatures are needed to complete the transfer.

However, local reporter Manu Lonjon is claiming Chelsea are now in contact for Gabriel.

And he suggests the defender "is very close to signing" with the Blues.
